Ingredients
- 500g prawns, cleaned and deveined
- 1 cup coconut milk
- 2 onions, finely chopped
- 2 tomatoes, pureed
- 2 green chilies, slit
- 1-inch ginger, grated
- 4-5 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon red chili powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin powder
- 1 teaspoon coriander powder
- 1 teaspoon garam masala
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- Fresh coriander leaves for garnish
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- Heat oil in a pan and sauté the onions until golden brown.
- Add the grated ginger and minced garlic, and cook for 2 minutes.
- Add the tomato puree, turmeric powder, red chili powder, cumin powder, and coriander powder. Cook until the oil separates.
- Add the prawns and green chilies, and cook for 5 minutes.
- Pour in the coconut milk and simmer for 10 minutes.
- Sprinkle garam masala and garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
- Serve hot with steamed rice or naan.
