Ingredients

  • 1 lb salted codfish, soaked and flaked
  • 2 large potatoes, boiled and mashed

  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Oil for deep frying

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix the flaked codfish, mashed potatoes, chopped onion, beaten eggs, and chopped parsley.
  2. Add the flour to the mixture and season with salt and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  3. Heat the oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C).
  4. Scoop spoonfuls of the codfish mixture and carefully drop them into the hot oil. Fry until golden brown, about 4-5 minutes.
  5. Remove the codfish pastries from the oil and drain on paper towels.
  6. Serve hot and enjoy!
