Ingredients

  • 1 pound linguine
  • 2 pounds fresh clams
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup white wine
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1/4 cup chopped parsley
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Scrub the clams under cold water to remove any sand or debris.
  2. Cook the linguine according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a large pot, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the garlic and red pepper flakes, and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  4. Turn the heat to high, then add the clams and white wine to the pot. Cover and cook for 5-7 minutes, or until the clams have opened.
  5. Discard any unopened clams, then add the cooked linguine to the pot. Toss to combine with the clam mixture.
  6. Season with salt and pepper, then sprinkle with chopped parsley before serving.
