Commander's Clam Linguine

Ingredients
- 1 pound linguine
- 2 pounds fresh clams
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup white wine
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 1/4 cup chopped parsley
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Scrub the clams under cold water to remove any sand or debris.
- Cook the linguine according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large pot, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the garlic and red pepper flakes, and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Turn the heat to high, then add the clams and white wine to the pot. Cover and cook for 5-7 minutes, or until the clams have opened.
- Discard any unopened clams, then add the cooked linguine to the pot. Toss to combine with the clam mixture.
- Season with salt and pepper, then sprinkle with chopped parsley before serving.
