Ingredients

  • 1 lb conch meat, finely chopped
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 bell pepper, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 green onions, finely chopped
  • 1 hot pepper, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 cup water
  • Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the conch meat, all-purpose flour, onion, bell pepper, garlic, green onions, hot pepper, baking powder, salt, and black pepper.
  2. Gradually add water to the mixture, stirring until well combined and the batter is thick.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a deep skillet over medium heat.
  4. Spoon small portions of the batter into the hot oil and fry until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  5. Remove the fritter bites from the oil and drain on paper towels.
  6. Serve the Gigitan Bala-Bala Konk hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
