Ingredients
- 1 lb (450g) beef sirloin, thinly sliced
- 3-4 scallions, cut into 2-inch pieces
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon Shaoxing wine
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon cornstarch
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a bowl, marinate the beef slices with soy sauce, Shaoxing wine, oyster sauce, sugar, and cornstarch for 15 minutes.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a wok or skillet over high heat. Add the beef slices and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until browned. Remove the beef from the wok and set aside.
- Add the scallions to the wok and stir-fry for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Return the beef to the wok, season with salt and pepper, and stir-fry for another minute.
- Transfer to a serving dish and serve hot with steamed rice.
