Ingredients
- 2 cups fresh corn kernels
- 1/2 cup chickpea flour
- 2 tablespoons rice flour
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 green chilies, finely chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
- 1/4 cup chopped coriander leaves
- Salt to taste
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the fresh corn kernels, chickpea flour, rice flour, chopped onion, green chilies, cumin seeds, turmeric powder, red chili powder, chopped coriander leaves, and salt. Mix well to form a thick batter.
- Heat oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat.
- Scoop a spoonful of the corn batter and carefully drop it into the hot oil. Fry the fritters in batches until they turn golden brown and crispy on all sides.
- Remove the fritters from the oil and place them on a paper towel to drain excess oil.
- Serve the corn fritters hot with chutney or sauce of your choice.
