Ingredients
- 2 cups masa harina
- 1 1/2 cups warm water
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the masa harina and salt.
- Gradually add the warm water, mixing until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough for 2-3 minutes, then divide it into 12 equal portions and roll each into a ball.
- Place a ball of dough between two sheets of parchment paper and press it flat with a tortilla press or a heavy pan.
- Cook the tortillas on a hot, dry skillet for about 1 minute on each side, until lightly browned and cooked through.
- Keep the cooked tortillas warm in a clean kitchen towel while cooking the remaining dough.
