- 2 cups all-purpose flour

- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- Add the cold cubed butter to the dry ingredients and use a pastry cutter or fork to cut the butter into the mixture until it resembles coarse crumbs.
- In a separate bowl, mix the heavy cream, milk, and vanilla extract.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
- Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and gently knead it a few times until it comes together.
- Pat the dough into a 1-inch thick circle and use a round cutter to cut out scones. Place them on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the scones are golden brown.
- Transfer the scones to a wire rack to cool before serving.
