Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the beef, potatoes, onion, carrot, salt, and pepper.
  3. Roll out the pie crusts and cut each into a 9-inch (23cm) circle.
  4. Divide the filling mixture among the crusts, placing it on one half of each circle.
  5. Moisten the edges of the crusts with water, then fold the other half of the crust over the filling to create a half-moon shape. Press the edges to seal.
  6. Place the pasties on a baking sheet and bake for 45-50 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown.
  7. Let the pasties cool for a few minutes before serving.
