Ingredients

  • 2 cups cornmeal
  • 1 cup warm water
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the cornmeal and salt.
  2. Add the warm water gradually and knead the mixture into a smooth dough.
  3. Divide the dough into 6 equal portions and shape them into balls.
  4. Place a ball of dough between two sheets of plastic wrap and flatten it into a round flatbread using your hands.
  5. Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat and carefully transfer the flatbread onto the pan.
  6. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown spots appear.
  7. Repeat the process with the remaining dough balls.
  8. Serve the cornmeal flatbread hot with a dollop of butter or ghee.
