Corsican Seafood Delight (Délice de la Mer Corse)
Délice de la Mer Corse, or Corsican Seafood Delight, is a traditional dish from the beautiful island of Corsica. This recipe combines the fresh flavors of the Mediterranean Sea with the rich culinary heritage of Corsican cuisine.
Ingredients
- 500g mixed seafood (shrimp, squid, mussels)
- 2 tomatoes, diced
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 3 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1/2 cup white wine
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Heat the olive oil in a large pan over medium heat.
- Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, and sauté until the onion is translucent.
- Add the mixed seafood to the pan and cook for 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Pour in the white wine and diced tomatoes, then season with salt and pepper. Simmer for 15 minutes.
- Sprinkle the chopped parsley over the seafood and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
- Remove from heat and serve hot.
