Cottage Cheese In Butter Gravy (paneer Butter Masala)

Ingredients
- 1 cup cottage cheese (paneer), cubed
- 2 onions, finely chopped
- 2 tomatoes, pureed
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
- 1 teaspoon red chili powder
- 1 teaspoon garam masala
- 1 teaspoon dried fenugreek leaves (kasuri methi)
- Salt to taste
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1/2 cup water
Instructions
- Heat 2 tablespoons of butter in a pan and sauté the onions until golden brown.
- Add the ginger-garlic paste and sauté for another 2 minutes.
- Stir in the tomato puree and cook for 5 minutes.
- Add the red chili powder, garam masala, salt, and sugar. Cook for 2 minutes.
- Add the water and bring the gravy to a boil.
- Reduce the heat and add the cubed cottage cheese. Simmer for 5 minutes.
- Add the remaining butter, heavy cream, and dried fenugreek leaves. Cook for another 2 minutes.
- Paneer Butter Masala is ready to be served!
