Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh cottage cheese (chhena)
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 2 green chilies, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
  • 1 teaspoon ginger paste
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tablespoons cornflour
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, crumble the cottage cheese and add the chopped onion, green chilies, cilantro, ginger paste, garam masala, cumin powder, coriander powder, red chili powder, turmeric powder, and salt. Mix well.
  2. Add the cornflour to the mixture and knead it into a smooth dough.
  3. Divide the mixture into equal portions and shape them into small kebabs or patties.
  4. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat and fry the kebabs until they are golden brown and crispy on all sides.
  5. Remove the kebabs from the pan and place them on a paper towel to drain excess oil.
  6. Serve the cottage cheese kebabs hot with your favorite chutney or sauce.
