Ingredients
- 2 cups cottage cheese (chhena)
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder
- Oil for frying
- Water
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine the cottage cheese, all-purpose flour, and cardamom powder. Knead the mixture into a smooth dough.
- Divide the dough into small portions and shape them into flat round pancakes.
- Heat oil in a pan and fry the pancakes until they turn golden brown on both sides. Remove and set aside.
- In a separate saucepan, combine the sugar and water to make a sugar syrup. Bring it to a boil and then simmer for a few minutes until it thickens slightly.
- Soak the fried pancakes in the sugar syrup for about 10-15 minutes.
- Once soaked, remove the pancakes from the syrup and serve them warm.
