Cottage Cheese Skewers (paneer Tikka)

Ingredients

  • 2 cups of cottage cheese (paneer), cut into cubes
  • 1 cup of plain yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon of ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 teaspoon of garam masala
  • 1 teaspoon of cumin powder
  • 1 teaspoon of coriander powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon of turmeric powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon of red chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon of lemon juice
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 onion, cut into chunks
  • 1 bell pepper, cut into chunks
  • 1 tomato, cut into chunks
  • 2 tablespoons of oil for grilling

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix together the yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, garam masala, cumin powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chili powder, lemon juice, and salt.
  2. Add the cottage cheese cubes to the marinade and coat them well. Let it marinate for 15 minutes.
  3. Thread the marinated cottage cheese, onion, bell pepper, and tomato onto skewers.
  4. Heat a grill pan or stovetop grill over medium heat and brush with oil.
  5. Place the skewers on the grill and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until the cottage cheese is golden brown and the vegetables are tender.
  6. Remove from the grill and serve hot with mint chutney and lemon wedges.
