Ingredients

  • 500g ground beef
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 4 cups breadcrumbs
  • 3 eggs, beaten
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. In a pan, cook the ground beef, onion, and garlic until the beef is browned and the onion is soft.
  2. Add the cumin powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Stir well and cook for another 2 minutes.
  3. Add water and simmer until the water evaporates and the beef is dry. Allow it to cool.
  4. Take a small portion of the beef mixture and shape it into a small drumstick-like cone.
  5. Roll the beef cone in flour, dip it in beaten egg, and then coat it with breadcrumbs.
  6. Heat oil in a deep pan and fry the beef croquettes until golden brown.
  7. Remove and drain on paper towels.
  8. Serve hot with ketchup or hot sauce.
