Ingredients
- 1 kg fresh crab, cleaned and cut into pieces
- 2 onions, finely chopped
- 4-5 garlic cloves, minced
- 1-inch ginger, grated
- 2-3 green chilies, slit
- 1/2 cup grated coconut
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp red chili powder
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1/2 tsp cumin powder
- 1/2 tsp tamarind paste
- 1/2 cup water
- Salt to taste
- 2-3 tbsp vegetable oil
Instructions
- Heat oil in a pan and sauté the onions, garlic, and ginger until golden brown.
- Add the green chilies, grated coconut, and all the spice powders. Cook for a few minutes.
- Add the tamarind paste and water, and bring it to a boil.
- Add the crab pieces, season with salt, and cook until the crab is done.
- Serve hot with steamed rice or crusty bread.
