Ingredients

  • 1 cup pork cracklings
  • 2 cups stale bread, cubed
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, soak the stale bread in milk for 10 minutes.
  2. Meanwhile, in a large mixing bowl, combine the pork cracklings, eggs, flour, chopped onion, salt, and pepper.
  3. Squeeze the excess milk from the soaked bread and add the bread to the pork crackling mixture. Mix well.
  4. Form the mixture into 8 dumplings and place them in a pot of boiling salted water.
  5. Cook the dumplings for 15-20 minutes until they float to the surface.
  6. Remove the dumplings with a slotted spoon and serve hot.
