Ingredients
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup heavy cream

- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
Instructions
- In a saucepan, bring water, butter, and salt to a boil. Add flour all at once and stir until a smooth ball forms. Remove from heat and let cool for 5 minutes.
- Beat in eggs, one at a time, until smooth. Drop dough by rounded tablespoonfuls 3 inches apart onto greased baking sheets.
- Bake at 400°F for 30-35 minutes or until puffed and golden. Remove to wire racks. Immediately split puffs open; remove and discard soft dough from inside. Cool puffs.
- In a small saucepan, bring cream to a boil. Remove from the heat; stir in chocolate and vanilla until smooth. Cool to room temperature, stirring occasionally. Beat in sugar until stiff peaks form.
- Fill cream puffs with whipped cream. Drizzle with chocolate sauce. Serve immediately.
