Ingredients
- 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into strips
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 8 oz cremini mushrooms, sliced
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup sour cream
- 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 12 oz egg noodles, cooked according to package instructions
Instructions
- Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken strips and cook until browned. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
- Heat the remaining olive oil in the same skillet. Add the chopped onion and cook until softened. Add the minced garlic and sliced mushrooms, and cook until the mushrooms are golden brown.
- Sprinkle the flour over the mushroom mixture and stir to combine. Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a simmer, stirring constantly until the sauce thickens.
