Creamy Chicken Skewers (chicken Malai Boti)

Ingredients

  • 1 kg boneless chicken, cut into cubes
  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 1/2 cup cream
  • 2 tbsp ginger garlic paste
  • 1 tsp white pepper
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • Wooden skewers, soaked in water

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix together yogurt, cream, ginger garlic paste, white pepper, cumin powder, coriander powder, garam masala, salt, and lemon juice to make the marinade.
  2. Add the chicken cubes to the marinade and mix well to coat the chicken. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight for best results.
  3. Thread the marinated chicken cubes onto the soaked wooden skewers.
  4. Heat oil in a grill pan or stovetop grill over medium heat. Place the skewers on the grill and cook for 12-15 minutes, turning occasionally, until the chicken is cooked through and has a nice char.
  5. Remove the skewers from the grill and serve hot with naan, rice, or salad.
