Creamy Chicken Skewers (malai Tikka)

Ingredients

  • 1 lb boneless chicken, cut into cubes
  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 2 tbsp fresh cream
  • 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp red chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp ground cumin
  • 1/2 tsp ground coriander
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 onion, cut into chunks
  • 1 bell pepper, cut into chunks
  • Wooden skewers, soaked in water

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix yogurt, fresh cream, ginger-garlic paste, garam masala, turmeric powder, red chili powder, ground cumin, ground coriander, salt, and lemon juice to make the marinade.
  2. Add the chicken cubes to the marinade, making sure they are well coated. Marinate for at least 2 hours or overnight in the refrigerator.
  3. Thread the marinated chicken, onion chunks, and bell pepper chunks onto the soaked wooden skewers.
  4. Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat. Place the skewers in the pan and cook for 12-15 minutes, turning occasionally, until the chicken is cooked through and has a golden brown color.
  5. Serve the creamy chicken skewers hot with naan or rice.
