Creamy Chicken Tikka, also known as Awadhi Murgh Awadhi Malai Tikka, is a delicious and creamy dish from the Awadhi cuisine of India. This recipe combines tender pieces of chicken marinated in a rich and flavorful mixture of yogurt, cream, and spices, then grilled to perfection.
Ingredients
- 500g boneless chicken, cut into cubes
- 1 cup plain yogurt
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 2 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
- 1 tsp garam masala
- 1 tsp cumin powder
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- 1/2 tsp red chili powder
- Salt to taste
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- Fresh coriander leaves for garnish
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine yogurt, cream, ginger-garlic paste, garam masala, cumin powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chili powder, salt, and lemon juice.
- Add the chicken cubes to the marinade and mix well to coat the chicken. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight for best results.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the marinated chicken cubes and cook for 10-12 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the marinade has thickened.
- Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot.
