Creamy Chicken Tikka (awadhi Murgh Awadhi Malai Tikka)

Ingredients

  • 500g boneless chicken, cut into cubes
  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp red chili powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • Fresh coriander leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine yogurt, cream, ginger-garlic paste, garam masala, cumin powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chili powder, salt, and lemon juice.
  2. Add the chicken cubes to the marinade and mix well to coat the chicken. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight for best results.
  3. Heat the vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the marinated chicken cubes and cook for 10-12 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the marinade has thickened.
  4. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot.
