Creamy Chicken Tikka (awadhi Shahi Murgh Awadhi Malai Tikka)

Ingredients

  • 1 kg boneless chicken, cut into cubes
  • 1 cup yogurt
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric
  • 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • Fresh coriander leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix together yogurt, cream, ginger-garlic paste, garam masala, cumin, coriander, turmeric, red chili powder, salt, and lemon juice to make the marinade.
  2. Add the chicken cubes to the marinade and coat them well. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight for best results.
  3. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the marinated chicken cubes and cook until they are tender and slightly charred, about 15 minutes.
  4. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot.
