Creamy Mushroom and Chicken Pasta (Mantarlı Tavuklu Makarna)

Ingredients

  • 300g chicken breast, diced
  • 250g mushrooms, sliced
  • 300g pasta
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, cook the pasta according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced chicken and cook until browned and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add the chopped onion and sliced mushrooms. Sauté until the mushrooms are golden brown and the onions are soft.
  4. Add the minced garlic to the skillet and cook for another minute.
  5. Pour in the chicken broth and heavy cream. Bring the mixture to a simmer and let it cook for 5 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened slightly.
  6. Return the cooked chicken to the skillet and stir to combine. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to coat the pasta in the creamy sauce.
  8. Remove from heat and serve the creamy mushroom and chicken pasta hot.
