Creole Style Stuffed Mushrooms are a delicious appetizer that combines the flavors of Martinican cuisine with a savory and satisfying filling.
Ingredients
- 12 large mushrooms, stems removed and reserved
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 onion, finely chopped
- 1/2 bell pepper, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped parsley
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Chop the mushroom stems and set aside.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Add the chopped mushroom stems, onion, bell pepper, and garlic. Cook until the vegetables are softened.
- Remove from heat and stir in the breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, and parsley. Season with salt and pepper.
- Stuff the mushroom caps with the filling mixture and place them on a baking sheet.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the mushrooms are tender and the filling is golden brown.
