Crispy Chilli Paneer

Ingredients

  • 250g paneer, cut into cubes
  • 1/4 cup cornflour
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 1 capsicum, diced
  • 2-3 green chilies, slit
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon chili sauce
  • 1 tablespoon tomato ketchup
  • 1 teaspoon vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for frying and cooking
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix the cornflour, all-purpose flour, ginger-garlic paste, and salt. Add water to make a smooth batter.
  2. Heat oil in a pan for frying. Dip the paneer cubes in the batter and fry until golden and crispy. Drain on a paper towel and set aside.
  3. In another pan, heat 1 tablespoon of oil. Add the diced onions, capsicum, and green chilies. Saute until the vegetables are slightly tender.
  4. Now add the soy sauce, chili sauce, tomato ketchup, vinegar, sugar, and salt. Mix well.
  5. Add the fried paneer cubes to the sauce and toss until the paneer is well coated.
  6. Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve hot.
