Ingredients

  • 1 lb beef sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 3 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 3-4 dried red chilies, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 inch ginger, julienned
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1/2 cup beef broth

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, coat the beef slices with cornstarch.
  2. Heat 2 tbsp of vegetable oil in a wok over high heat. Add the beef and stir-fry until crispy. Remove and set aside.
  3. Heat the remaining oil in the wok, then add the dried red chilies, garlic, and ginger. Stir-fry until fragrant.
  4. Add the green onions, soy sauce, rice vinegar, sugar, and beef broth. Cook until the sauce thickens.
  5. Return the crispy beef to the wok and toss to coat with the sauce.
  6. Transfer to a serving dish and garnish with additional green onions if desired.
