Ingredients

  • 1 whole fish, cleaned and scaled
  • 1 cup cornstarch

  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup rice vinegar
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch, dissolved in 2 tablespoons water
  • 1 red bell pepper, diced
  • 1 green bell pepper, diced
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Pat the fish dry with paper towels and season with salt and pepper.
  2. Coat the fish with cornstarch, shaking off any excess.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Fry the fish until golden brown and crispy, about 5-7 minutes per side. Drain on paper towels.
  5. In a separate pan, sauté the garlic and ginger until fragrant.
