Crispy Fried Kazy (Жареный казы)
Жареный казы (Crispy Fried Kazy) is a traditional Kyrgyz dish made with air-dried horse meat sausage, known as kazy. This dish is popular in Kyrgyz cuisine and is often enjoyed with bread, onions, and tea.
Ingredients
- 500g air-dried horse meat sausage (kazy)
- 2 onions, thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Slice the kazy into thin rounds.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Add the sliced kazy to the skillet and fry until crispy, about 5-7 minutes on each side.
- Remove the crispy fried kazy from the skillet and place it on a paper towel to drain excess oil.
- In the same skillet, sauté the thinly sliced onions until golden brown.
- Serve the crispy fried kazy with the sautéed onions, salt, and pepper.
