Ingredients
- 1 cup urad dal (black gram lentils), soaked for 4 hours
- 2-3 green chilies, chopped
- 1 inch ginger, grated
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 1/4 cup finely chopped onions
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh coriander leaves
- Salt to taste
- Oil for deep frying
Instructions
- Drain the soaked urad dal and grind it into a smooth batter using minimal water.
- Transfer the batter to a mixing bowl and add green chilies, ginger, cumin seeds, onions, coriander leaves, and salt. Mix well.
- Heat oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat.
- Scoop a small portion of the batter and gently drop it into the hot oil using your fingers or a spoon.
- Fry the fritters until they turn golden brown and crispy.
- Remove the fritters from the oil and place them on a paper towel to drain excess oil.
- Serve the crispy lentil fritters hot with chutney or sauce of your choice.
