Crispy Onion Rava Dosa (ಈರುಳ್ಳಿ ರವ ದೋಸೆ)

Ingredients

  • 1 cup rava (semolina)
  • 1/2 cup rice flour
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2-3 green chilies, finely chopped
  • 1 inch ginger, grated
  • 1/4 cup coriander leaves, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • Salt to taste
  • Water as needed
  • Oil for making dosas

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine rava, rice flour, all-purpose flour, chopped onion, green chilies, grated ginger, chopped coriander leaves, cumin seeds, black pepper, and salt.
  2. Gradually add water and mix well to form a thin batter. The batter should be of pouring consistency.
  3. Heat a non-stick tawa or griddle and pour a ladleful of batter from the outer edge towards the center. Drizzle some oil on the edges and cook until the dosa turns crispy and golden brown.
  4. Flip the dosa and cook for a minute. Remove from the tawa and serve hot with chutney or sambar.
