Crispy Onion Uttapam

Ingredients

  • 2 cups of idli/dosa batter
  • 1 large onion, finely chopped
  • 2-3 green chilies, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup of fresh coriander leaves, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon of cumin seeds
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for cooking

Instructions

  1. Heat a non-stick pan or griddle over medium heat.
  2. Pour a ladleful of batter onto the center of the pan and spread it into a circular shape.
  3. Sprinkle a portion of the chopped onions, green chilies, coriander leaves, cumin seeds, and salt over the batter.
  4. Drizzle some oil around the edges and on top of the uttapam.
  5. Cook until the bottom is golden and crispy, then flip and cook the other side.
  6. Repeat with the remaining batter and toppings.
