Crispy Rava Dosa
Crispy Rava Dosa is a popular South Indian crepe made with semolina, rice flour, and all-purpose flour. It is a quick and easy dish to prepare, perfect for breakfast or as a snack.
Ingredients
- 1 cup semolina (rava)
- 1/2 cup rice flour
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 green chilies, finely chopped
- 1/2 inch ginger, grated
- 1/4 cup fresh coriander leaves, chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- Salt to taste
- 3 cups water
- Oil for cooking
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine semolina, rice flour, all-purpose flour, chopped onion, green chilies, grated ginger, chopped coriander leaves, cumin seeds, black pepper, and salt.
- Gradually add water and mix to form a thin batter. Let it rest for 15 minutes.
- Heat a non-stick pan or cast iron skillet over medium heat. Once hot, pour a ladleful of the batter and spread it in a circular motion to form a thin layer.
- Drizzle some oil around the edges and cook until the edges turn golden brown and crispy.
- Flip the dosa and cook for another minute. Remove from the pan and serve hot with chutney or sambar.
