Ingredients

  • 1 cup chickpea flour
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 cups mixed vegetables (such as onions, potatoes, cauliflower, spinach)
  • Oil for deep frying

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix chickpea flour, cumin, coriander, turmeric, chili powder, salt, and water to form a smooth batter.
  2. Add the mixed vegetables to the batter and coat them evenly.
  3. Heat oil in a deep pan over medium heat.
  4. Drop spoonfuls of the vegetable mixture into the hot oil and fry until golden and crispy.
  5. Remove the pakoras from the oil and place them on a paper towel to drain excess oil.
  6. Serve hot with chutney or ketchup.
