Ingredients
- 1 cup gram flour (besan)
- 1/2 cup cashew nuts, chopped
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2-3 green chilies, finely chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon red chili powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- Few curry leaves, chopped
- Salt to taste
- Oil for deep frying
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine gram flour, chopped cashew nuts, chopped onion, green chilies, turmeric powder, red chili powder, cumin seeds, baking soda, curry leaves, and salt.
- Add water gradually to form a thick batter. Mix well to ensure there are no lumps.
- Heat oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat.
- Drop spoonfuls of the batter into the hot oil and fry until golden brown and crispy.
- Remove the pakodas from the oil and drain on a paper towel to remove excess oil.
- Serve hot with chutney or ketchup.
