Cucumber and Yogurt Salad (Cacık)

Ingredients

  • 2 cucumbers, peeled and diced
  • 2 cups plain yogurt
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped
  • Salt to taste
  • Water (optional, for desired consistency)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine the diced cucumbers, plain yogurt, minced garlic, olive oil, and chopped dill.
  2. Season with salt to taste and mix well. If the mixture is too thick, you can add a little water to reach your desired consistency.
  3. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to meld together.
  4. Before serving, garnish with a sprig of fresh dill if desired.
