Ingredients
- 4 medium-sized squid, cleaned and tentacles removed
- 200g ground chicken
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 red chilies, finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon shrimp paste
- 1 tablespoon tamarind paste
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- Salt to taste
- 2 tablespoons cooking oil
- 4 skewers
Instructions
- Clean the squid and pat dry. Set aside.
- In a bowl, mix the ground chicken, onion, garlic, red chilies, shrimp paste, tamarind paste, sugar, and salt.
- Stuff the squid with the chicken mixture and secure the opening with a skewer.
- Heat the cooking oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the stuffed squid and cook until the squid is cooked through and the filling is golden brown.
- Remove the squid from the pan and set aside.
- In the same pan, add the remaining chicken mixture and cook until fragrant.
- Add water and simmer until the sauce thickens.
- Pour the spicy sauce over the stuffed squid and serve hot.
