Ingredients
- 6 slices of keshi yena (stuffed cheese)
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 onion, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 bell pepper, diced
- 1 cup tomato sauce
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 12 lasagna noodles, cooked al dente
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Add the diced onion, minced garlic, and diced bell pepper. Cook until the vegetables are tender.
- Stir in the tomato sauce, cumin, paprika, and dried oregano. Simmer for 10 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Spread a thin layer of the meat sauce in the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish. Place 4 lasagna noodles on top.
- Layer half of the keshi yena slices on top of the noodles, then sprinkle with mozzarella and Parmesan cheese. Repeat the layers, ending with a layer of meat sauce and cheese on top.
- Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
- Let the lasagna rest for 10 minutes before slicing. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.
