Ingredients
- 4 grouper fillets
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 tomatoes, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 bell pepper, sliced
- 1 scotch bonnet pepper, finely chopped
- 1 lime, juiced
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp cumin
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Season the grouper fillets with salt, pepper, paprika, and cumin.
- In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat.
- Add the seasoned grouper fillets and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the onion, garlic, bell pepper, and scotch bonnet pepper. Sauté for 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are tender.
- Add the diced tomatoes and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
- Return the grouper fillets to the skillet, pour the lime juice over the fish, cover, and let it simmer for 10-12 minutes until the fish is cooked through.
- Serve the Curaçaoan Krioyo Grouper hot, garnished with fresh cilantro and slices of lime.
