Curd Chillies Chutney, also known as Challa Mirapakaya Pachadi, is a popular and spicy condiment from the Telugu Cuisine. It is a delicious accompaniment to rice, dosa, idli, or any South Indian meal.

Ingredients

  • 6-8 green chillies
  • 1 cup thick curd
  • 1 tsp oil
  • 1/2 tsp mustard seeds
  • 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1/4 tsp asafoetida (hing)
  • 5-6 curry leaves
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Wash and chop the green chillies.
  2. In a blender, add the chopped green chillies and curd. Blend to a smooth paste.
  3. Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, and asafoetida. Let them splutter.
  4. Add curry leaves and sauté for a few seconds.
  5. Pour the blended curd mixture into the pan and mix well. Add salt to taste.
  6. Cook for 2-3 minutes on low heat, stirring continuously. Remove from heat.
  7. Let it cool and then transfer to a serving bowl.
