Curd Chillies Chutney (challa Mirapakaya Pachadi)
Curd Chillies Chutney, also known as Challa Mirapakaya Pachadi, is a popular and spicy condiment from the Telugu Cuisine. It is a delicious accompaniment to rice, dosa, idli, or any South Indian meal.
Ingredients
- 6-8 green chillies
- 1 cup thick curd
- 1 tsp oil
- 1/2 tsp mustard seeds
- 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
- 1/4 tsp asafoetida (hing)
- 5-6 curry leaves
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- Wash and chop the green chillies.
- In a blender, add the chopped green chillies and curd. Blend to a smooth paste.
- Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, and asafoetida. Let them splutter.
- Add curry leaves and sauté for a few seconds.
- Pour the blended curd mixture into the pan and mix well. Add salt to taste.
- Cook for 2-3 minutes on low heat, stirring continuously. Remove from heat.
- Let it cool and then transfer to a serving bowl.
