Curry Crab And Dumpling Delight

Ingredients

  • 1 lb crab, cleaned and cut into pieces
  • 2 tbsp curry powder
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 hot pepper, chopped
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup coconut milk
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 tsp thyme
  • 1 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix the flour, water, and salt to form a dough. Knead the dough until smooth, then divide it into small balls and flatten them into dumpling shapes.
  2. In a large pot, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat. Add the curry powder and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  3. Add the onion, garlic, and hot pepper to the pot and sauté until the onion is translucent.
  4. Add the crab pieces to the pot and stir to coat them with the curry mixture.
  5. Pour in the coconut milk and chicken broth, then add the thyme and black pepper. Cover the pot and simmer for 20-25 minutes, until the crab is cooked through.
  6. While the crab is cooking, bring a separate pot of water to a boil and add the dumplings. Cook for 10-12 minutes, then drain.
