Custard Cups

Ingredients
- 4 eggs
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 cups milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- In a bowl, beat the eggs and sugar together until well combined.
- Heat the milk in a saucepan over medium heat until it just begins to simmer.
- Slowly pour the hot milk into the egg mixture, whisking constantly.
- Stir in the vanilla extract.
- Pour the custard mixture into individual ramekins or custard cups.
- Place the ramekins in a baking dish and fill the dish with hot water to reach halfway up the sides of the ramekins.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 30-35 minutes, or until the custard is set around the edges but still slightly wobbly in the center.
- Remove from the oven and let the custard cups cool. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
