Ingredients

  • 1 lb (450g) of pizza dough
  • 1/2 cup (100g) of granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup (50g) of chopped nuts (almonds, walnuts, or pecans)

Instructions

  1. Divide the pizza dough into 6 equal portions.
  2. Roll each portion into a long rope, about 1 inch (2.5cm) in diameter.
  3. Wrap the dough rope around a wooden or metal stick, overlapping the layers slightly.
  4. Grill the wrapped dough over medium heat, turning frequently, until golden brown and cooked through.
  5. Remove the trdelník from the stick and roll it in the granulated sugar and chopped nuts until coated.
  6. Serve the trdelník warm and enjoy!
