Ingredients

  • 500g beef sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons Sarawak black peppercorns, crushed
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon dark soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons cooking oil
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat the cooking oil in a wok or large skillet over high heat.
  2. Add the garlic and stir-fry until fragrant.
  3. Add the beef slices and stir-fry until they are no longer pink.
  4. Add the onion and continue to stir-fry until the beef is cooked to your desired doneness.
  5. Reduce the heat to medium, then add the crushed Sarawak black peppercorns and stir-fry for 1-2 minutes.
  6. Pour in the oyster sauce, soy sauce, dark soy sauce, sugar, and water. Stir well to combine.
  7. Simmer for a few minutes until the sauce thickens and coats the beef evenly.
  8. Season with salt to taste and remove from heat.
