Ingredients
- 500g beef, cut into cubes
- 2 tbsp turmeric powder
- 4 shallots, finely chopped
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 3 red chilies, sliced
- 2 tomatoes, diced
- 2 lemongrass stalks, bruised
- 4 kaffir lime leaves
- 400ml coconut milk
- 2 tbsp cooking oil
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- Marinate the beef with turmeric powder and let it sit for 15 minutes.
- Heat the cooking oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the shallots, garlic, and red chilies. Sauté until fragrant.
- Add the marinated beef and cook until it changes color.
- Stir in the tomatoes, lemongrass, and kaffir lime leaves. Cook for 5 minutes.
- Pour in the coconut milk and bring to a simmer. Cook for 45 minutes or until the beef is tender.
- Season with salt to taste.
- Serve the Daging Woku hot with steamed rice.
