Dahi Puri Poppers
Dahi Puri Poppers are a popular Indian street food snack that combines the tangy, spicy, and sweet flavors in one delightful bite. These bite-sized treats are perfect for parties or as a quick and tasty snack.
Ingredients
- 20 puris (hollow, crispy Indian crackers)
- 1 cup boiled and mashed potatoes
- 1 cup boiled chickpeas
- 1 cup sweetened yogurt
- 1/2 cup tamarind chutney
- 1/2 cup mint-coriander chutney
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1 small tomato, finely chopped
- 1/4 cup sev (crispy chickpea noodles)
- 1 teaspoon chaat masala
- 1 teaspoon red chili powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin powder
- Salt to taste
- Fresh coriander leaves for garnish
Instructions
- Prepare all the chutneys and keep them ready.
- Crack the top of each puri to make a hole large enough to fill the ingredients.
- Fill each puri with a small amount of mashed potatoes and chickpeas.
- Top each puri with a spoonful of sweetened yogurt, tamarind chutney, and mint-coriander chutney.
- Sprinkle chopped onions and tomatoes on top of each puri.
- Finish by adding a pinch of chaat masala, red chili powder, cumin powder, and salt to taste on each puri.
- Garnish with sev and fresh coriander leaves.
- Serve immediately and enjoy!
