Ingredients

  • 1 lb (450g) chicken breast, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 carrot, julienned
  • 1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • Sesame seeds, for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix together soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, and black pepper to make the marinade.
  2. Add the sliced chicken to the marinade and let it sit for 10 minutes.
  3. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add the marinated chicken. Cook for 5-6 minutes until the chicken is cooked through.
  4. Add the sliced onion, carrot, and bell pepper to the skillet and stir-fry for an additional 3-4 minutes.
  5. Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
