Dakgalbi Tacos (닭갈비)
닭갈비 (Dakgalbi) is a popular Korean dish made with spicy marinated chicken, vegetables, and rice cakes. In this recipe, we'll put a fun twist on the traditional dish by turning it into delicious Dakgalbi Tacos!
Ingredients
- 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1/2 cup gochujang (Korean red chili paste)
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 1 onion, sliced
- 1 sweet potato, thinly sliced
- 2 cups cabbage, chopped
- 8 small flour tortillas
- 1/4 cup chopped green onions, for garnish
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix the gochujang, soy sauce, sugar, and sesame oil to make the marinade.
- Add the chicken pieces to the marinade and let it sit for 10 minutes.
- Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add the marinated chicken, onion, sweet potato, and cabbage. Cook until the chicken is fully cooked and the vegetables are tender.
- Warm the tortillas in a separate skillet or in the oven.
- Assemble the tacos by placing the cooked Dakgalbi mixture onto the warm tortillas. Garnish with chopped green onions.
