Ingredients
- 1.5 lbs (700g) chicken wings
- 1 cup potato starch
- 1/2 cup corn syrup
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup rice vinegar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp ginger, grated
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
- Vegetable oil for frying
- Sesame seeds and green onions for garnish
Instructions
- Rinse the chicken wings and pat them dry with paper towels.
- Coat the chicken wings with potato starch and shake off any excess.
- In a large skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
- Fry the chicken wings in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 10-12 minutes per batch.
- In a separate saucepan, combine corn syrup, soy sauce, rice vinegar, brown sugar, garlic, ginger, and red pepper flakes. Cook over medium heat until the sauce thickens, about 5 minutes.
- Toss the fried chicken wings in the sauce until evenly coated.
- Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions before serving.
